Water garden

A Spode dish, shaped like a water lily. I found it in a local charity shop. I don’t expect it’s very old. But it’s the sort of dish I like for table arrangements, and I thought might work well planted with crocuses or snowdrops in the Spring.

First, though, its shape called for water. Water and lily pads. The pads provided here in miniature by a floating pond plant called Frogsbit.

Add a sprig of water mint. The result: a miniature indoor water garden.
