Take one jar – winter berry and evergreen tealight holders

Winter. And at this time of year evergreen leaves and crimson berries are brought into the house to make cheering natural decorations, combined with the soft glow of candlelight.

To make:

Place a few sprigs of evergreen inside an empty jam jar (I used box and privet) then fill with water.

Add a handful of cranberries and place a tealight, removed from its metal case, on top. I found the cranberries supported the tealight so it’s not necessary to fork out on floating candles.

Embellish the rim of your jar with seasonal ribbon or strands of ivy to finish.

  1. They are lovely…and very effective. I’m always looking for simple but beautiful Christmas makes and these are perfect. Thanks for the inspiration…I can just imagine them twinkling at the windows. X
